One of the most troubling thing that the dancer always meet is about partner. I see there are many troubles about partners like how to find a partner (a good partner of course) and how to maintain the partnership. Even the world class dancer cannot runaway from this problem. Whenever we see on news on many ballroom sites (like dancesportinfo), most of the news is about SPLIT, not about dancing together.

To find a good dance partner is not easy and yet not impossible, we just need to know how and why people choose or being chosen. Let's start from the first fact that actually Ballroom Dance is coming from western country, standard and latin come from there. Ballroom is a culture dance in there, like every country have. A culture dance representing the culture of the country it self. Learning this dance means you are learning their manner too. So think more open minded whenever you want to dance and look for a partner.

Nowadays, a male dancers is fewer than female dancers. That a good points for men, and that's what men actually have more choices to choose among the ladies. So ladies, you should know that actually what kind of women that men looking for. This is not anti feminimism, but only about statistic.

• Attractive, neat and clean appearance (of course pretty and a good style of hair is a plus)
• Great personality, friendly and outgoing.
• Happy with her career or job.
• Healthy, not too thin or too heavy.
• Some will choose Intelligent, and some will choose elegance.
• Affectionate and attentive.

• Likes sports or not hate sports.

• Appreciate your partner more than anyone appreciate your partner. Whenever you could not appreciate your partner, then there will no chance that anyone will do. Appreciate could come from everything, and not only from skill. We could appreciate our partner because of his/her manner, because of his/her spirit for training, and others. Not everything is about skill, everyone starting from nothing.
• Caring your partner is a most important things to do. Care him or her, and show that you care. It's the only way that your partner will could appreciate and care you for return. Caring is not always ended in romantism, but some people do.
• Trust your partner. What kind of relationship will be build if not based on trust? None can survive those kind of relationship if not based on trust. If you could not trust your partner, then you should consider to change partner soon, before someone got hurt.
• Usually lady learn faster than man, this is normal, because lady use emotionally more than man. Dancing is about emotion. But only the right man could drive lady to their maximum. There is some cases that sometimes man looking for lady that is inferior than him because he don't want to be lost than the lady, this thinking is totally wrong. How could compete with another couples whenever you think that your partner is your rival? 
• Gentleman, your job is leading the lady to look beautiful and good. In return, they will make you look good.
